Princess Party Card Swap

IMG_7115Greetings from Orlando! Today is the last day of ONSTAGE- the semi-annual Stampin’ Up! conference. This has been a truly amazing experience for me and I am so excited to share all of the up coming projects, products and sales coming our way.

Before the party ends I want to share the card I designed for our Princess Party swap. What’s a Princess party swap? Members of our stamping family got together for a Disney Princess themed dinner party where each participant in the swap exchanged a full sized card. The theme for this swap is everything bling- all the glimmer, glitz and sparkle you can fit on a card.

Starting with Very Vanilla cardstock I ran one size of the card thru the Big Shot inside the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impression Embossing Folder. Next grab an empty stamp case, a Sponge Brayer and some rubbing alcohol. See, I told you it was a party… Pour some Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint into the empty stamp case, add rubbing alcohol to dilute the paint and roll the sponge brayer back and forth in the case to pick up the paint. Then gently roll the brayer on to the embossed side of the cardstock. WA-LA! Textured gold shimmer paper.

Cut a 1/2 inch by 4 inch piece of Gold Foil Cardstock and using the Tailored Tag Punch add the ribbon edge to the bottom (see the video here). Once the card base is dry adhere the gold ribbon with Snail Adhesive. The sentiment is from the Love What You Do Set, stamp it with Versa Mark on to Very Vanilla Card stock. Cover sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool.  Cut the label with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch of bling is individual Gold Mini Sequin Trim adhered with Multipurpose glue.
