This is humiliating to admit but fancy folds are completely challenging to me. So much so that I mutilated many pieces of cardstock in the attempts to create this card. Some how the measurements weren't quite right. That said I will not further embarrass myself and try to tell you how to make this double gate fold card. Hopefully the person who gets it remembers its the thought that counts!
The weather has gotten colder and rain seems to be the only forcast here in Northeast Ohio which only makes it more difficult to go out and enjoy the changing leaves. For my fall class I brought the leaves inside where it was nice and dry. Funny how paper really doesn't appreciate moisture!
OOH fall, oooh Mint Macaron, ooooh this card- they all make me happy! It is silly but really there is not anything I don't love about now, except how fast it seems to go :(. Fancy folds are not really my thing but this one is not too far out of my comfort zone and it has a little trick to make the technique work. It was a challenge card so cross your fingers for me but even if it doesn't net me 1st place it is a winner in my book! The steps below will walk you thru how to make the card and the design is super easy to repeat on other holidays... think balloons for a birthday, cake for an anniversary, flowers for sympathy, and animals for kids.
Fall could be every day for me, it's my favorite season. From the warm days with cool nights, the smell of rusting leaves, apple everything and Halloween right around the corner... I love it all! Let's talk about this card celebrating everything fall and Cajun Craze is all the rage. Next add a layer of coordinating Plaid Tidings Designer Series paper. By the way, if this were a flannel I would totally wear it all season!
